This painting is a tribute to all people who support themselves and their families through hard work.

Olimpia curator from Artmajeur wrote about this painting on Instagram page:
"After the weekend, the perception of Monday turns out to be distorted, to say the least. The labors of the first day of the week's work are perceived as tripled. In fact, I chose the image of a strong and zealous worker, in whom you can identify with even in performing the less strenuous act of sending a simple email.

The work I chose for the most hated day of the week is Hard work by Peter Duhaj, whose realist figurativism has been loaded with great meaning, so much so that its creator declares, "this painting is a tribute to all the people who support themselves and their families through hard work."

As for Duhaj, early in his figurative career the Hungarian painter was deeply influenced by leading figures in his country's art history. Although he aspired to emulate them, his attention later turned to the depiction of the human figure, investigated and rendered through a language that is a blend of realism and hyperrealism."
