20.5x15.8 in ~ Painting, Oil
I have one good old friend - a French artist. Until I met him, I didn't know why they call France the country of the Gallic rooster. Only once, while sipping a good Bordeaux, he told me a legend about it and explained that the roots of this name go back to the times of ancient Rome and the Celtic tribes of the Gauls.
The story intrigued me and since I like not only this friend but also France, since then I have depicted the rooster in several of my paintings. This is one of them and it pays tribute to the French people, culture and country.
It is an oil painting on unique handmade art paper.
At the top right of the signature is the name of the painting in Hungarian (Elo legenda).
